MONTANA RIFLE HUNTS

Rifle elk/deer HUNTS

If you’re looking for Montana Rifle Elk Hunts on some of the finest private land in the state, look no further. We operate on approximately 20,000 acres of premier, privately managed big game habitat. Surrounded by large private ranches, this area has fostered trophy-quality elk herds.

Our biggest bull taken scored an incredible 409 7/8 gross and ranks was at that time the 13th largest ever harvested in Montana. Every year, our hunters see quality bulls—some are harvested, and others live on to grow even bigger. While not every hunter will encounter a 350-class bull, they are out there, and the opportunity for a high-quality hunt is unmatched.

Weapons Policy: SUPPRESSORS ARE ENCOURAGED. MUZZLE BRAKES ARE DISCOURAGED.
See more in our FAQ below.

Wounding Policy: If an animal is wounded and the guide determines the wound is fatal - even if  unrecovered- the outfitter reserves the right to terminate the hunt for that species

                                                                       Add-On Opportunities
Black Bear Option: Black bear encounters can happen; hunters can purchase a black bear tag 24 hours before hunting and may take a bear for an additional trophy fee. This is more typical in archery than rifle.

Deer Option: The opportunity to shoot a quality mule deer may present itself. There is a fee assessed upon the wounding or harvest of a deer.

Accommodations:
The rifle hunts are operated out of two separate camps on the same property. For both camps, the main forms of transportation are side-by-sides and walking with some flexibility to match the hunters ability.

Camp  1 hosts up to four hunters per week. This camp has a camp cook, generator power, a primitive indoor shower, and an outhouse. Hunter lodging is on the top floor with a public living and eating area on the main floor. The basement is predominantly the guide’s private area.  CLICK HERE TO SEE CAMP 1.

Camp 2 is a smaller camp that only hosts two hunters per week. This camp consists of more walking and no camp cook. This camp has generator power, a primitive shower in a separate building, and an outhouse. Hunters have the cabin to themselves, the guide has separate accommodation.  CLICK HERE TO SEE CAMP 2.

Arrival & Orientation: You’ll meet with your outfitter and guide and get oriented before heading into the field. We include one the night before going into camp lodging at our main location to sight in guns, view taxidermy, complete paperwork, and pick up last minute items.

In the Field: You’ll hunt some of Montana’s most productive elk territory using proven spot-and-stalk and glassing techniques. Our guides work tirelessly to put you in the right place at the right time.

Trophy & Meat Handling: Animals you wish to mount will be professionally caped. Meat is transported to a trusted processing facility unless you prefer another, in which case additional delivery fees may apply.  Shipping can be arranged at your cost.

Ethical Standards: If your guide determines a fatal shot has been made on any animal - even if unrecovered - your hunt for that species will be considered complete. Additionally, we discourage taking long shots. Even if your gun is built for distance, factors such as weather, altitude, and excitement can alter success. Your guide will coach you on what is an appropriate shot distance for our terrain.

End of the Day: Back at camp, unwind with hot meals and camaraderie. We allow moderate drinking, but excessive consumption will not be tolerated and may result in hunt termination.
